The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is one of the largest membership organisations in the world and exists to inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community to create a better world. However, they were becoming stale, were not fully understood and were out of touch with future generations. They wanted their brand to be more relevant, inclusive and distinctive.



The brand idea focuses on the positive impact of everything the IET does and is represented through the ‘equals’ graphic in their logotype and in application. A vibrant colour palette and flexible brand system add dynamism and ensure communication is tailored to each audience. Thorough testing ensured we struck the right balance between pointing forwards and respecting the IET’s history.
