Challenge

Sight loss is wrongly perceived by many as something that precludes individuals from participating meaningfully in society. Guide Dogs want to change this misconception. When their mobility team moved into their new flagship office in London, they wanted their environment to help by showcasing how people with sight loss live normal lives and the role Guide Dogs plays in making this possible.

Solution

Their environment presented two opportunities for communication: exterior windows for the general public and interior walls for staff, volunteers and partners. For the exterior windows we presented people with sight loss as everyday individuals who aren’t defined by their impairment. Photography of people living their life combined with bold and direct typography that lists hobbies and interests challenges misbeliefs. Interior graphics depict everyday challenges and illustrate how technologies and their dogs help people with sight loss do more in life.
